If you are a registered waste carrier you can bring them to our site in Leeds or we can collect them from your premises. We issue Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes with every collection.
As technology has advanced, not many of us use CRT televisions anymore and they can end up in storage and forgotten about. Yes WEEE will collect your old CRT televisions and recycle as many parts as possible such as glass and plastic. Plasma and LCD televisions are also able to be recycled by taking apart these items and individually recycling their parts, e.g plastic, metal frames and glass screens.
Fluorescent tubes are classed as hazardous waste due to the small amount of mercury found in them. We can supply boxes to move the waste or for regular producers, we can leave storage containers on site and simply swap these for future collections.
Car batteries contain hazardous substances such as Lead. Other batteries classed as hazardous such as Ni-Cad batteries. Yes WEEE can provide on-site storage options for regular producers.
High costs are associated with the disposal of Hazardous Waste. As such, this part or our service is chargeable. To find out our charges please get in touch.
